MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ - TAPinto Mountainside has one primary focus.

You.

It might not always look that way. After all, most of our articles aren't really about you, but things TAPinto editors think you care about. Such as what the Mountainside Council is doing. What's happening with the senior citizens. And the biggest upcoming events in the borough and surrounding communities.

And while TAPinto editors are pretty accessible - they answer phone calls, respond to e-mails and are fixtures at many public happenings - there are other ways for you to provide feedback to the team here at TAPinto.

That's why we're asking you to take the 2018 TAPinto Reader Survey.

The survey will take less than five minutes to complete and will help TAPinto better serve you. Really.

The survey asks things such as how often you read TAPinto, and whether you've downloaded and use the TAPinto APP.

There's also a place for you to leave your comments. Again, that's because TAPinto's focus is on you.

Your responses to the survey help guide TAPinto's future, and we really want to hear from you.

Will you please take the 2018 TAPinto Reader Survey?

We'd appreciate it, just as we appreciate your support and loyal readership.

While the survey is important, we invite your comments and questions any time. Send Bobbie Peer an email at bpeer@tapinto.net.

Thank you.  We appreciate your support and your loyal readership.

And Over Here is the Dining Hall 2

My very first job in admissions was while I was still an undergraduate myself as a tour guide.  Very early on they indoctrinated us with some tricks of the trade.  It’s a dining hall, not a cafeteria.  A residence hall, not a dorm.  If you have to divulge some negative bit of information, sandwich it between two positives.  There were instructions for glossing over ...

'Tired of cronyism? Yeah, us too'

July 21, 2018

The Union County Freeholders’ decision to appoint State Senator and newly-elected Union County Democratic Chairman, Nick Scutari’s chief of staff, Ed Oatman as County Manager smelled of corruption from the start. To place a political consultant like Oatman in the role of overseeing 2,800 employees and running the day-to-day operations of the $500 million county budget suggests ...
