SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- A bear has been seen in Scotch Plains again on Sunday, this time in the area of Far View Court and Deer Path, which are both above Route 22.

The New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife will not come out to tranquilize or remove the bear unleess he starts to become a threat.

"He would have to try to get into someone's house or threaten to harm a person or pet (before Fish and Wildlife will come out)," according to Scotch Plains police captain Ted Conley. "Apparently, the bear's home is in the Watchung Reservation. Dear Path is right near there."
