Tot Trot Set for June 4; Kids Run Benefits TryCAN Collaboration

SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Junior Fortnightly Club's (SJFC) 39th Annual Tot Trot, a fun run for children ages 2 - 10 years of age, will be held on June 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Summit's Memorial Park.

The 2017 event will benefit the TryCAN Collaboration, a 501(c)(3) organization that offers a variety of recreation programs and events for youth with special needs as well as those who may need special accommodation.

TryCAN programs are held within Summit as well as other towns that are a part of the Collaboration, including Berkeley Heights, Maplewood, Millburn, Mountainside, New Providence, Scotch Plains, South Orange, Springfield and Union.

The day of family fun features activities for the whole family, with a petting zoo, trackless train, moon bounces, games, prizes, and food among the many festivities and amenities.

Tot Trot opens at 11 a.m. with runner registration, and age-specific races begin at 1 p.m. Every child receives a t-shirt, goody bag, and commemorative medal.

To register online, visit the SJFC event registration page, and choose TOT TROT 2017.

To register by mail, print the Tot Trot Registration form, and mail in with payment.

Memorial Park is located at 5 Myrtle Avenue.
