SUMMIT, NJ – TryCAN, a collaboration of communities offering recreation programs for youth with special needs or those who need special accommodation, will introduce its brand new Superhero Art Group this December.
The Superhero Art Group welcomes children 7 – 10 to four Thursday sessions, set to begin December 10. The remainder of sessions will take place on December 17, January 7, and January 14.
The art group will meet at the Summit Community Center, 100 Morris Avenue from 4:15 – 5:00 PM. Residents and non-residents are welcome to enroll for a fee of $65 per participant. Residents and non-residents are welcome to enroll. No non-resident fees apply.
Children will enjoy re-creating their favorite superheroes as well as learning how to design and paint their very own within this therapeutic setting. The art group will be led by Certified Art Instructor and Art Therapist, Cindy Hamilton. Children are expected to improve their fine and gross motor skills as well as learn how to take turns and work well with others, all while socializing with new peers.
