The Westfield Area Y thanks all eight participating Westfield and Garwood pizzerias for helping make the First Annual Pizza Palooza a success. Congratulations to Buona Pizza of Westfield, which received the most votes.

Over 160 tasters sampled pizza slices from Benvenuti's, Buona Pizza, Casa Di Pizza, Dominos, Ferraro's, Gennaro's, Rudy's and Sorrento's.

Proceeds of the event benefitted the Westfield Area Y’s Annual Support Campaign for strong kids, families and seniors. Thanks to the Y’s Annual Support Campaign, no one who lives or works in Cranford, Garwood, Mountainside or Westfield and is experiencing a bona fide financial hardship is turned away for the inability to pay, whether due to unemployment, poor health or other circumstances. The Y provides over $400,000 per year in direct financial assistance primarily to enable youth participation in child care, summer day camp, sports and aquatic programs.
