WESTFIELD, NJ — Improvements to the intersection of Elm Street and East Broad Street in Downtown Westfield are set to begin Monday, March 14. Drivers should expect delays, according to the town of Westfield.
According to a notice by J.C. Contracting, the street will remain open, but construction will require temporary sidewalk, shoulder and lane closures. Some of the work will take place at night, it said.
The busy spot will get an upgraded traffic signal, drainage repairs, resurfaced roadways and newly installed curbs and sidewalks, according to the notice.
Weather permitting, the work is expected to be finished within four months. For updates on this project from Union County, click here.
