College and Career Fair

Be college and career ready! The community is invited to meet with representatives and recruiters from colleges, businesses and non-profits regarding college prep information, community service, employment and/or internships. Attendees should bring samples of their resumes, cover letters and business cards.

The College and Career Fair will be held 6:00-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4 at the Westfield Area YMCA Main Facility located at 220 Clark Street, Westfield. This event is appropriate for middle school students through professional adults and is a great opportunity to network and gather resources.

Confirmed attendees as of 9/19:

COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES: PACE University, Quinnipiac University, Rutgers Newark, Tulane University, Union County College

EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE: Above Grade Level, HESAA, Private Prep, YMCA Achievers

EMPLOYMENT AND INTERNSHIPS: Community Access Unlimited, EHS Compliance NJ, Embassy Suites, Junior League of Elizabeth/Plainfield, Lord & Taylor, Mary Kay, Spine & Joint Center, Texas Roadhouse, Westfield Area YMCA

This event is hosted by the YMCA Achievers program. Achievers is  a college readiness, career development, life skills, leadership and mentoring program offered at no cost inclusive of a teen membership and test prep classes for diverse high school students in Union County.
