(December 18, 2019) –On two Thursdays in January and February 2020, the Westfield Memorial Library will present a Tai Chi demonstration. The library is located at 550 East Broad Street.

Certified Tai Chi instructor Gang Huang will teach the Ways of Tai Chi on January 9 and February 6 at 7:00 p.m., and then show the class its various movements. Tai Chi is the Chinese tradition of using martial arts movements as a gentle way to exercise and reduce stress.

Huang participated in the International Chinese Martial Arts Competition in Washington, D.C. and the U.S. International Kuo Shu Championship in 2011, 2014, 2015 and 2016. He has won numerous medals, including nine Gold, two Silver, and one Bronze.

In the past few years, in addition to teaching regular classes at his Bridgewater Seeking Tai Chi Studio, he has been invited to teach Tai Chi at the Huaxia Chinese School at Montgomery and the West Windsor and Morristown Libraries.

He pays special attention to fundamentals and combines both theory and practice in every class. Huang is passionate about Tai Chi and focuses on promoting its growth in the United States.
