MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ - Christine O'Grady, the newest addition to the Bayberry Lane neighborhood in Mountainside reached out to her neighbors to ask them to put out a bear or another stuffed animal in a front window or on their front porch so her two little girls could go on a bear hunt during this time of social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This neighborhood, known as "Top of the Hill," took this quite seriously. The Ruban family went on a walk this afternoon and spotted 42 bears or other stuffed animals located in windows, porches, trees, bushes and benches.
For those that would like to go on a bear hunt, the streets that participated were Bayberry Lane, Summit Lane, Outlook Drive, Laurel Court and New Providence Road.
Times like these call for communities to come together in the simplest of ways to ensure fun for all.
