BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ -- New school board members means new assignments to committees. At the Jan. 23 meeting of the Berkeley Heights Board of Education, the board approved the following appointments to committees and the following liaison appointments for 2020.

The Finance Committee will be chaired by Chris Reilly, with Gerry Crisonino and Doug Reinstein serving as representatives. An alternate has yet to be determined.

Negotiations Committee will be chaired by Bill Cassano, with Mike D’Aquila and Helen Kirsch serving as representatives and Reinstein as the alternate.

The Facilities Committee will be chaired by  D’Aquila, with Rep Chris Reilly and Crisonino serving as representatives and Reinstein as the alternate. 

The Athletics/Co-Curricular Committee will be chaired by Dante Gioia; with Reinstein and Angela Penna as representatives.

The Personnel/Communications Committee will be chaired by Reinstein, with Cassano and Kirsch as representatives.

The Strategic Planning Committee will be chaired by Chair Reilly, with Crisonino and Cassano as representatives.

The Mountainside Committee will be chaired by Cassano, with Kirsch as the representative.

The Technology Committee will be chaired by Cassano with Reinstein and Reilly as representatives.

The Curriculum Committee will be chaired by Casano with Reilly and Penna as representatives and Reinstein as the alternate. 

The following liaison positions were filled:

Town Council - Reinstein, Cassano

PTO Area Council -  Reinstein, Penna

Recreation Commission/Booster Club - Reinstein 

Education Foundation - Penna 

Environmental Commission - Kirsch/TBD 

Tech Advisory Board - Cassano 

UC Educational Services - Kirsch 

UCSBA - Cassano 

NJSBA - Kirsch 

HIB - Cassano 

Legislation/Policy - D’Aquila
