Volunteers and supporters of “Beautiful Mountainside,” the borough’s grass roots beautification committee enjoyed a spooktacular Halloween Party on Saturday night at the Elks club.

Bob Messler was Master of Ceremonies for the annual event, which helps fund numerous improvements made by a core group of citizens dedicated to “Making Mountainside More Beautiful.”

This year’s party included music by DJ Music Unlimited, a 50/50, door prizes and a delicious buffet by Mazella’s Gourmet Market and Bovella’s Bakery and Café

Proceeds will help fund the seasonal decorations in the planters downtown, as well as future projects which will beautify the borough.

In addition to all the fine folks who turned out for the event, the committee wishes to thank the businesses who contributed door prizes and/or supported the fundraiser, including: Mazella’s Gourmet Market, Bovella’s Bakery Café, The Publick House, The Bake Zone, Mountainside Cleaners, Mountainside Deli, Salon Divine, Christopher’s Florist and Rainbow Nails.

Please visit Beautiful Mountainside’s Facebook page.  New members are always welcome.  The committee meets the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. sharp at the Hetfield House on Constitution Plaza.
