NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - Since 2004, the Donate Life Rose Float has served as a memorial to organ and tissue donors and a platform for donor families, transplant recipients and living donors to inspire the world to save and heal those in need through the gift of life.
NJ Sharing Network and their generous partners, Bridge to Life, Dignity Memorial Funeral Homes and Hearts for Emma, are proud to sponsor three donor families and two transplant recipients to attend the multi-day festivities.
From the grandstands, family members of organ and tissue donors Sean Clegg, Dr. Randall Giles and Carrie Ellen Fisher, will view the Donate Life Float, "Rhythm of the Heart," adorned with floral portraits honoring their loved ones. Transplant recipients Jim Rhatican and Emma Rothman will ride the float representing all New Jersey residents who have received a second chance at life.
The Donate Life float will appear 8th of 40 floats featured in the parade followed by transplant recipient and Tournament President, Gerald Freeny.
The Rose Parade is televised on ABC, NBC, the Hallmark Channel and Univision (in Spanish), beginning at 11 a.m., EST (8 a.m. PST). Be sure to tune in.
