PISCATAWAY, NJ - The girls swim team put out their best on Sunday at the Union County Swimming Championships at Rutgers in Piscataway.  The girls placed fourth overall scoring an impressive 219 points behind Westfield 389 pts., Summit with 364 pts. and Scotch Plains-Fanwood with 300 pts. Coach David Closs had one word to describe the meet results “Awesome!!.”  The girls are in a great position for the upcoming Sectional tournament.  

The girls picked up valuable points placing an impressive third in the 400 Free Relay with swimmers Caroline Kolmodin, Kate Curran, Ashley Chang and Rachel Heeren.  The 200 IM relay team of Ava Biegel, Danielle Curtis, Rachel Heeren and Caroline Kolmodin showed their depth by placing fourth and earning a spot at the Meet of Champions.  In both relays the girls were just shy of breaking a school record.
