BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Following a 4-0 win at home against Oak Knoll in the 2nd round of the Union County Tournament, the Gov. Livingston JV girls soccer team has upped its record to a perfect 15-0. The team has received contributions from juniors, sophomores and freshman under the direction of coach  Steve Lesnewich.

The Highlanders have had a good mix of offense and defense with three players scoring goals for GL. The defense has won 12 games where its opponent has not scored.  The second round county game against Oak Knoll was a typical win for the Highlander girls with goals by three different players and two goals off set-piece corner kicks. On defense, Oak Knoll had several scoring chances but were stopped by strong goal keeping and a back-line that shut down open shots quickly..

The JV team has two remaining regular season games this week before its county semi-final game next weekend.
