After struggling the previous few games against much tougher competition, the Lady Highlanders needed to get back in the win column in any way possible. At the end of the 1st quarter, GL cruised to a 26-9 lead.
From the second quarter forth, GL turned on cruise control. The Highlanders led by a score of 45-19 at the half, allowing coach Rob Ritter to empty the bench by the 2nd half. GL continued its drubbing in the second half, winning the game by 45.
The squad has struggled early on in the year but will need to find there stride shortly with multiple conference games in the near future. Dowling and Phillps have scored more than 60 percent of the points in the teams past five games.
