SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Governor Livingston suffers a tough loss against South Plainfield in State Playoff, on Tuesday, October 22. The Highlanders kept the game close but could not execute on offense. 

South Plainfield started the game off strong with a goal in the first half. The Highlander offense was silent and wanted to change the momentum of the game in the second half. However, South Plainfield scored again in the second half and secured a comfortable lead for the rest of the game. 

Junior goalkeeper Sophia Hatami had 12 saves but could not get keep the clean sheet for the Highlanders. South Plainfield out-shot Governor Livingston, with 14 shots on goal compared to zero.

GL finishes the season 2-14-2 and hope to rack up some more wins next year after a rebuilding season.
