BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Gov. Livingston basketball defeated the Cranford Cougars on Tuesday, by a score of 41-36. The game went down to the wire, both teams exchanged baskets until the clock hit zero. Senior guard Sean McCulloch had a terrific game, carrying the team to the win with 12 points.

The Highlanders came out hot in the first quarter, gaining a four point lead heading into the second quarter. McCulloch lead the team with 10 points in the first half and gave the Highlanders a six point lead at the end of the first half. 

Cranford kept the game close in the second half and the game went down to the last possession. The Highlander defense stepped up in the final minutes and sealed the win.

McCulloch finished the game with 12 points, two steals, and two three-pointers. Senior center Connor Bigelow had 9 points and snatched seven rebounds for the Highlanders. Senior guard  Vinny Mellusi had 7 points with four rebounds to go with it. 

The Highlanders improved to a record of 4-4 and have won four of their last five games. Cranford goes down to 4-6 for the season.
