UNION, NJ - Brian Kramer had another hat trick in GL’s 6-3 win over Freehold on Saturday night, January 4. The Highlanders did an excellent job on both sides of the power play to secure the win and close out Super Saturday.

Freehold got on the board first on a power play goal with just over 11 minutes to go in the first period, but a Jeremy Malave goal off a Jack Norton pass on a power play shortly after knotted the game at 1. With three minutes to play in the first, GL went on another power play, this time ended on a Kramer snipe shot to give GL a 2-1 lead into the first break.

The Highlanders killed two Freehold power plays in the second period, including a five on three. With 6:29 to go in the second period, Kramer punched in his second goal of the game. Freehold knocked in a goal with 13 ticks to go in the second, making the score 3-2 GL at second intermission.
