A spokesman for the board said the meeting was pushed back as part of a broader need to align the district's meeting calendar with the required timing for March's budget hearing session (which is scheduled for March 24) and April’s meeting (which will be on April 28).

The April reorganization meeting will be the board's first after the election.

Three members of the board will have their terms come to an end and could run for re-election: vice president Dale Caldwell, Emra Seawood and Patricia Varela.

According to the New Jersey School Boards Association, the deadline for candidates to file nominating petitions with the district is March 2 at 4 p.m.

The election will be held April 21.
