NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 51-year-old woman was shot over the weekend, leading city police on a hunt for her attacker, cops said.

The shooting occurred around 4:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, on Jennings Court in New Brunswick, city police Lt. Amish Shah told TAPinto New Brunswick. Jennings Court is off Zebra Way, near Route 27 and several blocks from New Brunswick High School.

Police didn't provide details on how the shooting unfolded. But the victim sustained “non-life-threatening injuries,” Shah said.

As of now, police have yet to make any arrests or lodge any charges in the case, Shah said. He said they don't have a suspect.

The shooting came hours after a man was shot and killed on Fulton Street in New Brunswick.
