NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A man received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries early this morning after being assaulted by an individual with a “sharp object,” according to a crime alert from the Rutgers University Police Department.
The incident occurred around 2:04 a.m. April 23 on an unidentified street connected to Easton Avenue, according to police.
After the attack, the victim went to a nearby hospital for treatment. That’s where he told authorities about the assault, which police said occurred “for unknown reasons,” according to the alert.
The victim, who isn’t affiliated with Rutgers, didn’t provide precise details about where, exactly, the incident took place.
Police didn’t provide a description of the suspect. They said such information is “limited at this time,” according to the alert.
