EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - East Brunswick Road Races is a charity event that benefits The East Brunswick Daisy Association. The Daisy Association provides scholarships for recreation programs for children with special needs and provides funding for those recreation programs as well. Carrabba’s is the primary sponsor of EBRR this year. They are making a generous donation to the Daisy Association and providing coupons for pre-registered runners as well as age group and overall winners. They are also hosting a volunteer luncheon for the many hardworking EBRR volunteers.

This year our race is on October 27th at 9am at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center. EBRR’s annual races have been around for 42 years. This year the races will be a 5k and a new 12k course. The 12k is the USATF-NJ wildcard championship race and a co-ed team championship race. It is the shortest distance in the long-distance category. It can be a big help for runners trying to get USATF points.

In addition to the distance change, there are other new additions to EBRR to make it more of an event including having Food Trucks at the race this year. Anybody can come buy food, whether you are running or not running. A portion of the food truck proceeds will be donated to the Daisy Association. Old aspects like pumpkin painting that have helped make the races a community event will, of course, remain.
