NEW BRUNSWICK – The Fourth of July celebrations are now long gone but the summer fun continues throughout New Brunswick. There are many events to choose from this week whether you want to go out during the week or on the weekend, both outside and inside!

Tuesday, July 10
Coco-Free Summer Movie 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Where: State Theatre New Jersey (15 Livingston Avenue New Brunswick)

Hector helps Miguel to uncover the mysteries behind his family’s stories and traditions. This movie is inspired by Mexico’s Dia de Muertos and is an Oscar-winning animated film.

Teen Tech Time 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Where: New Brunswick Library (60 Livingston Ave New Brunswick)

Is your teenager tech savvy? Come and explore specific computer software, programs, and topics on library computers in the Teen Room! This program is open to students in grades 7 through 12. Google drive will also be explored!

Wednesday, July 11
Google Tools Marketing Workshop 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Where: Rutgers Livingston Campus, Rutgers Business School (North Tower)
100 Rockefeller Road, Room 3095, Piscataway

Want to grow or market a new or existing business? This is a hands-on seminar that covers three features of Google Tools.

“Be found by local customers” 
“Be found everywhere, on all devices”
“Be found with online advertising”

The presenter will also introduce some bonus tools that business owners can use. Tickets are $15, and can be purchased here.

Read & Play 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Where: New Brunswick Public Library (60 Livingston Ave New Brunswick)

Looking for an event for the little ones? This event is open to ages 1 to 4 as well as caregivers! A story will be read to the kids, as well as playtime.  A good chance to get out of the sun, relax a bit while your toddler is entertained.

Acoustic Open Mic Night & Karaoke Doors Open at 7 p.m.

Where: Glo Ultra Lounge in New Brunswick

Need a night out? Come sing, dance, and have a drink or two at Glo Ultra Lounge in New Brunswick. It’s acoustic open mic night and there is karaoke! Drinks are $5 and Tacos are $3. This event is hosted by Acoustic Nation’s, Kevin Hill.

Saturday, July 14
Version City Party 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Where: Court Tavern (124 Church Street, New Brunswick)

Come listen to Ska and Reggae music Saturday night at the Court Tavern where King Django will be hosting. Playing will be Washington DC’s the Fuss, Flordia’s The Freecoasters, and NJ Ska-Punk Sensation Joker’s Republic.  The cost is $10 and doors open at 8 p.m.

Status Saturdays 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Where? Perle (13 Paterson Street, New Brunswick)

Come dance the night away at Perle! Ladies are free before 11 p.m. There are two different rooms to pick your drink of choice as well as your choice of music.
