New Brunswick Jazz Project from 8 to 11 p.m.

Where: George Street Ale House

The New Brunswick Jazz Project performs every Tuesday night at the 1749 Bar, with a new artist every week.

The show starts at 8 p.m. and the open jam session starts at 9:30 p.m.

 

Wednesday, Jan. 22

Ray Blue Trio from 8 to 11 p.m.

Where: Tavern on George

The New Brunswick Jazz Project and Tavern on George presents that Ray Blue Trio from 8 to 11 p.m.

This free event will feature Ray Blue on the saxophone, Akiko Tsuruga on the organ and Alvester Garnettt on the drums.

Blood & Platelet Drive for Maternal Health Awareness Day from 12 to 5:30 p.m.

Heroes For Moms has teamed up with Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital to host a blood & platelet drive for the third annual Maternal Health Awareness Day.

Rutgers Geological Museum Annual Open House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Rutgers Geological Museum

Come to Rutgers Geological Museum for its 52nd Annual Open House. There will be crafts, activities and even a mineral sale. Scheduled activities will focus on volcanoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes.

Intro to Latte Art from 7 to 9 p.m.

Where: Hidden Grounds Espresso Bar

Learn how to pour beautiful latte art designs just like the ones you see at Hidden Grounds Espresso Bar on Easton Avenue.

One of the coffee bar’s baristas, Justin, will teach this completely hands-on class where attendees will get to learn latte art theory and technique.

The class will cover the following:

1) Introduction to various Espresso Machines and Beans

2) Theory and Practice of Steaming Milk

3) Theory and Practice of Pouring a Latte Art
