Oktoberfest Celebration with New Jersey’s Tech Community from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Harvest Moon Brewery & Cafe

Enjoy delicious food, cold beer and some excellent networking with Jim Barrood and other tech and entrepreneur leaders throughout the state.

Wednesday, October 16

Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day 2019 at 3 p.m.

Where: Saint Peter's University Hospital

In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Saint Peter’s University Hospital marks the national day that spotlights the importance of educating all women about the variety of breast reconstruction options available to them following breast cancer surgery.

Join members of the hospital to see storytelling, poetry readings and original artwork by breast cancer patients, nurses, physicians and caregivers.

The Pink Police Car – a collaborative between the North Brunswick Police Dept. and Saint Peter’s University Hospital – will also be there to remind patients of the community’s support in the fight against breast cancer.

 

Thursday, October 17

Rutgers Symphonic Winds and Rutgers Symphony Band: How Suite It is at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Nicholas Music Center

Rutgers Symphonic Winds and Rutgers Symphony Band perform a selection of beautiful suites, directed by Todd Nichols and Joe Busuito.

Friday, October 18

90s Alt-Rock Cover Band - Jewel Cases Performance from 8 to 11:30 p.m.

Where: Redd’s Biergarten

Embrace DIY Productions presents a night full of 90s Alternative Rock covers from The Jewel Cases at the new Redd’s Biergarten on Easton Avenue.

The cover band will bring you all the favorites from Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam and more! Grab a beer and get nostalgic with Redd’s.

Saturday, October 19

Rutgers Football Game at 3:30 p.m.

Where: Rutgers Football Stadium

Grab all the red gear you got and head on over to Busch Campus! The Scarlet Knights will be playing against the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. Go, Knights!

 

Intro to Latte Art from 7 to 9 p.m.

Where: Hidden Grounds Espresso Bar

Learn how to pour beautiful latte art designs just like the ones you see at Hidden Grounds Espresso Bar on Easton Avenue.

One of the coffee bar’s baristas, Justin, will teach this completely hands-on class where attendees will get to learn latte art theory and technique.

The class will cover the following:

1) Introduction to various Espresso Machines and Beans

2) Theory and Practice of Steaming Milk

3) Theory and Practice of Pouring a Latte Art

JDRF One Walk at 10 a.m.; Check-in at 8:30 a.m.

Where: Rutgers University, Cook Campus

JDRF One Walk has one goal: to create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
