SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - State and local police escorted five tractor trailers to the state line Wednesday morning, heading to Texas with donations for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

The effort is part of a continuing drive by Hermann Transportation Services in Monmouth Junction to help those in need after the devastating storm.

Company owners and brothers, Jeff and Bryan Hermann took to social media a week ago to solicit donations to send a convoy to the southeast region at the end of the month, but were surprised that the overwhelming response to the solicitation provided enough goods to fill five trucks in just a week.

The company will continue to accept donations and will send additional convoys through the end of the month, the brothers said.
