NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Grab your Guinness.
Middlesex County officials plan to honor their Irish residents at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 4, in New Brunswick. The celebration comes a couple of weeks before St. Patrick’s Day, a holiday that’s renowned for its green beer as much as the removal of snakes from the Emerald Isle.
The Board of Chosen Freeholders will conduct a ceremony and a flag-raising outside the county administration building, 75 Bayard St., New Brunswick.
The freeholders will be joined by members of the American-Irish Associations of Woodbridge and South Amboy, the Ancient Order of the Hibernians of South Amboy and Perth Amboy, the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh of Old Bridge and the Emerald Society of North Brunswick.
