NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Defense was the name of the game.

There were no double – doubles. As a matter of fact not a single player reached double digits in anything. The Lady Tigers failed to score more than nine points in any quarter. This type of scoring line normally does not result in a W in the win column, but when you hold the opposition to just a bucket in two consecutive quarters it takes the pressure off the offense.

That is just what the Lady Tigers’ dialed up as South Plainfield’s defense smothered New Brunswick from start to finish en-route to a 26-18 victory over the Zebras.
