NEW BRUNSWICK - City residents need only walk down the block to see why it's called the "Garden State." August is the perfect month to sample local produce at one of New Brunswick's farmer's markets, popping up around town this week and remaining open through October.
The New Brunswick Community Farmers Market on Jones Avenue is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and the satellite location in downtown New Brunswick in Kilmer Square Park is open on Wednesdays. Both locations remain open through the end of October.
The Farmers Market at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital is open in the Arline and Henry Schwartzman Courtyard every Thursday until October.
Rutgers Gardens Farmers Market offers a variety of local produce and specialty products on Fridays through December 11.
