NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - An employee of the New Brunswick Housing Authority was found dead in his Chatham residence on the morning of November 24, according to a police report.
Officers from the Chatham Borough Police Department responded to the residence of Mark Roedelbronn for a welfare check that morning.
Roedelbronn hadn’t shown up to work or responded to any calls or texts for several days, prompting city officials to call the Chatham police.
"According to his family, he passed away in his sleep," said John Clarke, executive director of the housing authority.
Police responded to the apartment, where they found Roedelbronn deceased. He was taken to Overlook Medical Center in Summit, where he was pronounced dead later that morning.
"Mark was a hardworking and dedicated employee and will be missed," Clarke said.
His next of kin was notified, according to the police report, and a memorial service is planned at the Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home in East Brunswick.
