NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - An employee of the New Brunswick Housing Authority was found dead in his Chatham residence on the morning of November 24, according to a police report.

Officers from the Chatham Borough Police Department responded to the residence of Mark Roedelbronn for a welfare check that morning.

Roedelbronn hadn’t shown up to work or responded to any calls or texts for several days, prompting ​city  officials​ to call the Chatham police.

"According to his family, he passed away in his sleep," said John Clarke, executive director of the housing authority. 

Police ​responded to the apartment, where they found Roedelbronn deceased. He was taken to Overlook Medical Center​ in Summit​, where he was pronounced dead later that morning.

"Mark was a hardworking and dedicated employee and will be missed," Clarke said. 

His next of kin was notified, according to the police report, and a memorial service is planned at the Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home in East Brunswick.
