NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - A 70-year-old New Brunswick man has died after he was struck and killed by a car Friday on Route 27.

Police said that Teddy Davis was struck at about 9:04 p.m. near Van Dyke Avenue.

The driver, Juan Gonzalez, 43, of North Brunswick, has been charged with driving without a license and causing the death of another person in the third degree, according to a press release from Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Director Anthony Caputo of the New Brunswick Police Department.

After allegedly being struck by Gonzalez's 2009 Dodge Avenger, Davis was taken to Robert Wood Johnson  University. That's where he was pronounced dead from his injuries, police said.
