NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - The City of New Brunswick and Rutgers Police have issued traffic advisories.
According to an advisory released by the city, Livingston Avenue will have a full closure in place between George and New streets until 3 p.m.
Access to the Heldrich Hotel will remain open.
According to Rutgers Police, Rockafeller Road near the Scarlet Lot and adjacent to Beck Hall on the Livingston Campus will be closed until 2 a.m. on Thursday.
Avenue E between Hospital Road and Road 3 will be closed until 2 a.m. Thursday. Local access to Lot 101 and The Rutgers Club will be allowed from Road 3.
There will be no bus service to Livingston Plaza for the duration of the Rockafeller Road closure. Detours will be in place. Motorists planning to travel in the area are urged to plan ahead.
Last week, Rutgers police have issued a traffic advisory that will affect motorists traveling on Route 18 for the next several weeks.
According to the advisory, Route 18 will undergo a pavement preservation project that will be ongoing for several weeks. Travelers should prepare for the following anticipated traffic impacts:
- Shoulder closings, right and left lane closures and moving operations along Route 18 South and Route 18 North.
- Temporary ramp closures may be required during nighttime hours with temporary detours in place.
- All temporary lane closures will be removed on a daily basis.
