New Brunswick, NJ- This December New Brunswick City Market will present their Silver Jubilee Holiday Celebration with Free Community Events and Activities. The celebration kicks off with the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony on December 1, 5 to 7 p.m. at the New Brunswick Downtown City Center.

Every year, the City of New Brunswick launches a month full of holiday activities with several free events for the entire community. This annual celebration will begin on the first of the month as the New Brunswick community gathers downtown to partake in the lighting of the town Christmas tree. Along with the lighting celebration, there are also a handful of other events to enjoy such as live performances of holiday music, a cook-off competition for a cause involving local restaurants, a holiday market, and a visit from Santa.

The complimentary photo session with Santa is scheduled for December 9, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, located at 323 George Street. New Brunswick also organizes a food, clothing, and disaster relief drive that occurs through December 17 with several drop-off locations listed on their website.
