NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ- On this day in 1919, the Daily Home News reported the members of the local American Legion proudly sent a man from their New Brunswick post to represent them at an Armistice Day meeting in Minneapolis. The local post also sponsored a resolution condemning the sale of anarchist, Bolshevik ​or any other radical or violent papers. This resolution was passed by the convention with "wild" applause.

Also reported on this day in 1919,  the Trade Board suggested that New Brunswick "take up Americanization" in public schools.
