NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - The New Jersey Blood Services is seeking donors for blood drive Thursday to replenish ever decreasing supplies.
"We are still dealing with our summer shortage situation caused by school closings and vacations and even the weather, so extra help is needed," said Lynne Ross, account manager for NJ Blood Services.
"Every person who donates can help three patients and their families, so there’s a big multiplier effect," Ross said.
The blood drive will be held at the Morgan Stanley office, on the fourth floor at 120 Albany St., from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Each participant will receive a golf umbrella for their donation.
The NJ Blood Services is a division of the New York Blood Center.
No appointment is needed, but donors can get an appointment by going to the Morgan Stanley website or by calling Mark Sherman at (732) 435-2223.
