TRENTON, NJ – The Revolution returns to the banks of the Delaware River on Tuesday, August 6 as the Trenton Thunder and Crossroads of the American Revolution co-host American Revolution Night.
Attendees at the 7:05 p.m. game against the Bowie Baysox will be welcomed by reenactor encampments of the Continental Army and the British Army. They’ll also be able to see a replica 18th century cannon up close, hear authentic period music, enjoy Colonial-era games, an 18th century doctor with medical tools, and sample freshly-made 18th century ice cream as they watch mock hearth cooking. Benjamin Franklin (portrayed by Mike Kochan) and General George Washington (portrayed by John Godzieba) will also be on hand to chat with baseball fans.
Family fun continues inside the ballpark with exhibitors on the concourse including the Old Barracks Museum, Crossroads of the American Revolution, the Sons of the Revolution NJ, Princeton Battlefield Society, New Jersey Daughters of the American Revolution, the New Jersey Sons of the American Revolution, Washington Crossing Historic Park, the Miller-Cory House, the Liberty Tree of the History on the Hoof, and the NJ State Park Service Office of Historic Sites.
