NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Someone was stabbed or slashed last weekend after an off-campus party near Rutgers University, according to police.
The New Brunswick Police Department is investigating the aggravated assault, which took place at 12:43 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, on Delafield Street, according to a crime alert from the Rutgers University Police Department. The incident occurred between Courtland and Bristol streets, according to the alert.
Cops said the victim is “affiliated with Rutgers,” which means the person could be a student or connected to the school in some other way.

The victim was injured, but police said it wasn't life-threatening. That individual was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police said descriptions of the suspect are “limited at this time.”
