After a sluggish first half, the Rutgers Women's basketball team denied George Washington a hoped-for upset, winning 50-60 Monday night at home, according to a report in MyCentralJersey.com.

Rutgers Coach Vivian Stringer admitted her team’s defense was weak, but made changes in the lineup that turned back 5-9 George Washington.

The win ended Rutgers’ three-game losing streak against Division 1 teams as the team heads for the Big East Conference.
