NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — If you know someone who is missing, the New Jersey State Police wants to help.

A forum on missing persons and what can be done to find them is scheduled for 1-5 p.m. tomorrow, May 20, at Rutgers University’s College Avenue Student Center, 126 College Ave., New Brunswick.

The free event is open to the public. State police extend a specific invitation to “family, friends, communities and organizations working to locate New Jersey’s missing,” according to an announcement.

The forum is also meant to connect families and friends with others who are “coping with the disappearance of a loved one,” cops said. Police ask attendees to preregister so that their missing loved ones may be featured in a candlelight vigil and slideshow.

Participants should bring two biological relatives—one man and one woman—of the missing person, relevant police reports, dental and body X-rays, contact information for the individual’s doctor and dentist, photographs and any additional identifying records.
