Music fans from across the country will get a taste of The Vue and downtown New Brunswick, NJ this weekend as VH1 chose the new luxury condominium building and its dynamic surroundings as this week’s filming location for its Top 20 Video Countdown show.
The VH1 crew and Top 20 Video Countdown host Jim Shearer were seen throughout the day on Monday shooting numerous scenes at The Vue, the pedestrian walkway that directly links the 23-story building on Somerset Street to the New Brunswick train station, and inside Brother Jimmy’s BBQ located in The Vue’s street-level retail space. The cameras then followed Shearer as he continued to count down the week’s hottest music videos from various locations and iconic hot spots in New Brunswick, including Scarlet Fever, Thomas Sweet, Harvest Moon, Panico's Brick Oven Pizza, Vinnie Brand's Stress Factory Comedy Club, Monument Square Park and The State Theatre.
VH1 will air the nationally televised show on Saturday, December 8th at 9:00 a.m., with encore presentations on Sunday, December 9th and Tuesday, December 11th at 8:00 a.m.
The Vue was developed by New Brunswick Development Corporation (DEVCO) and Pennrose Properties. The Marketing Directors is the building’s exclusive sales and marketing agent.
