NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - An unattended bag left on a train platform temporarily delayed the afternoon commute.
Nathan Rudy, senior public information officer for NJ Transit, said Wednesday the bag was spotted on train No. 3848, which runs on the Northeast Corridor line.
Rudy said there was a 17-minute delay after someone reported the bag.
Rudy said that protocol is that when a suspicious package is reported, "The police arrive, check out the package. If it's cleared, the train moves on."
