The New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs (NJSFWC) of GFWC, with Headquarters in New Brunswick is actively looking for women to join its local clubs.
If you are interested in community service opportunities, making a difference in your community, leadership training, and in general looking to have fun, then a woman’s club is the right place for you. Through participation in local clubs, the NJSFWC enables its members to make a difference in the lives of others, one project at a time.
We welcome everyone, and there are clubs located in all parts of New Jersey! So, join us for a Membership Open House on Saturday, August 24th, at the NJSFWC Headquarters, 55 Labor Center Way, New Brunswick, NJ 08901, from 1:00pm- 3:00pm.
The NJSFWC mission is to enhance the quality of life in our communities and state by transforming public interests and concerns into meaningful projects and programs.
Diverse in age, interests, and experiences, members represent a broad range including teachers, business owners, social workers, elected officials, medical professionals, homemakers, corporate executives and professionals, students, and retirees. All clubwomen are united by a desire to create positive change and meet others, while enhancing and benefitting their communities.
In 2019 the NJSFWC is celebrating 125 years of community service. Established in 1894, among its accomplishments are the founding of the New Jersey College for Women (now Douglass Residential College) in 1918, the establishment of almost 75% of all public libraries and through the efforts of the NJSFWC, the formation of the Palisades Interstate Park Commission, which was established to oversee the preservation of the Palisades.
