Crescent Concerts continues its 37th season with “Pipe Dreams,” the title of this year’s Festival of Organists, featuring five outstanding and celebrated performers playing music from a variety of composers including Frenchmen, Dupre, Durufle, Vierne and Messiaen. Appropriately, all five organists will be performing on Crescent’s Gilbert Adams pipe organ which was installed in 2002 and has been acclaimed by many for its beauty and “French sound.” The concert date is Sunday, March 17 at 3:00pm in the Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church located in Plainfield, New Jersey. The organists are Peter Isherwood, Trent Johnson, Edwin Lopez, Ron Thayer and Shea Velloso.

Mr. Isherwood is currently Minister of Music at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Red Bank, New Jersey and serves as organist in several Roman Catholic churches in Monmouth County. He has been president and conductor of the NJ Shore Chorus. Mr. Isherwood is active in several professional organizations including the American Guild of Organists (AGO).

Trent Johnson is well known in the area as Music Director and Conductor of the Oratorio Singers in Westfield. He also is organist and Assistant Director of Music at All Souls Unitarian Church in New York City. A noted and recorded composer, Mr. Johnson will play one of his own works for this concert.
