Movie Night at New Brunswick Public Library 6:30-8: 30 pm

Come enjoy a film with family and friends, for free, on the library's big screen! Open to all appropriate ages according to movie rating.  The June movies are African American themed to observe Juneteenth. On this night, we'll be showing To Kill a Mockingbird(not rated, released in 1962).

Elegant Bridal Productions Show at Rutgers Gardens 7-10pm

Where: 140 Log Cabin Rd., New Brunswick 

Rutgers Gardens will be welcoming Elegant Bridal Productions, one of the longest-running Wedding Expos in the United States. It is said to be the #1 Bridal Show in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. They have been featured in syndicated television programs including “The Martha Stewart Show”! Tuesday, June 11th

New Brunswick Jazz Project Presents - Emerging Artists & Open Session - Liam Sutcliffe Band 8-11pm

Where: George Street Ale House

Part of NBJP's mission is to showcase the next generation of jazz musicians...the future "greats!" This is a chance to see them NOW! On Tuesday emerging artists lead the band and open session. Also, a master musician will be sitting in during the open jam session which begins at 8:00 pm. All are welcome.

Volunteer Orientation for Rutgers Gardens 6-8pm

Rutgers Gardens has a vibrant volunteer community. Volunteers are essential to help maintain the grounds, educate the public, interact with visitors, grow plants for sale, and assist with special events. They welcome volunteers in many different aspects of our day-to-day operations and programming. No matter what your particular interests—or even if you’d like to learn some new skills—there are many ways to get involved.

Friday, June 14th

Photo Contest Exhibit Opening Reception 6:30-8pm

Where: 60 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick

Photographs entered in the library’s 12th Annual Photography Contest will be displayed in a joint exhibition at the New Brunswick Free Public Library and Above Art Studios. A panel of professional photographers and library staff will judge the submissions for first, second, and third place. Winners will be announced at this Opening Reception beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the library. After the reception at the library, a walk will be taken to Above Art Studios to view the winning and selected photos.

Photos will be on display at the library from June 14th to July 14th, and at Above Art Studios located at 55B Morris Street (next to the cemetery behind the library) for one week beginning on June 14th, 2019.

Painting with Dwight (Hosted by Dwight Eubanks, Love & HipHop Atl) 9pm

Where: Above Art Studios

Time to turn your ordinary paint and sip up to another level! Enjoy a night of Instructed Painting with all canvas paint and brushes included, BYOB Wine or Champagne only hosted by Dwight Eubanks. Dwight will be live in the building adding his touch of flair to your masterpieces.

The latest music provided by DJ Kiss Me I'm Famous. Tickets start at $40 and sell quickly. Early arrival suggested especially if you want to sit with a group. Seats are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
