NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - A former Republican congressional candidate will be signing his book on the solving of the country's political division at the Rutgers University book store on March 21.
Eric Beck, founder and Editor-In-Chief of Free Nation Media LLC, a communications and policy analysis firm, will be signing copies of his book "Conquering The Political Divide - How The Constitution Can Heal Our Polarized Nation," at the book store on Somerset Street.
"Conquering the Political Divide is unique because it speaks to why a competent understanding of both civics and economics encourages greater respect for the ideas and ideals of the Constitution," Beck said in a statement.
A graduate of the Rutgers University with a master's degree in business administration, Beck is entrepreneur, author, and activist who made a bid for Congress as a Republican candidate in the 12th Congressional District in 2012.
Beck will discuss his book and host a question-and-answer session at the book store, beginning at 6 p.m.
The book includes 14 essays, including a section about studies showing that public schools fail to educate high school students about civics and economics, and another that the recent call for "Medicare for all’ challenges whether the Constitution would permit federal enactment of such a program.
People attending the book signing will be entered in a drawing for a free Starbucks gift card. Coffee and dessert will be served. Also, people can register for the event at Beck' website.
