NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and New Brunswick is again offering special shirts as a fundraiser to help raise money to combat prostate cancer in our local community.
All members of the New Brunswick Fire Department will perform their duties in the custom-made shirts to raise visibility and awareness for the cause through the end of September.
The shirts are available for a donation of $20 each. Hooded sweatshirts are also available for a $30 donation.
All proceeds benefit Renaissance Cyclists Defeating Cancer United. The RCDCU's Annual Bike-A-Thon takes you through the scenic back roads of Franklin Township on Sept. 21. Cyclists can choose between 10-, 30- or 50-mile routes.
“Prostate cancer has impacted the lives of many people in our local community. Our department is proud to do our part to help those who have been affected,” said New Brunswick Fire Director Robert Rawls.
