NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Thirty-six additional New Brunswick residents have tested positive for COVID-19, according to information released by Middlesex County officials tonight.
A total of 939 residents have now tested positive.
There was also one additional death, bringing the COVID-19 death toll in New Brunswick up to 37.
The news came on a day when the number of residents across the state who have tested positive for the coronavirus exceeded 100,000.
According to state Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli, a New Brunswick native, 102,196 New Jerseyans have tested positive.
The statewide death toll has reached 5,617.
In Middlesex County alone, 9,866 people have tested positive for COVID-19, with 383 deaths.
Perth Amboy has reported the most cases (1,323) in the county.
Since the county updated its statistics on Thursday, there are 257 new positive cases and seven more deaths.
