NEW BRUNSWICK,  NJ  - A man entered a Rutgers dorm on the Livingston Campus this morning and made unwanted sexual contact with the resident of the room who was sleeping, according to the Rutgers University Police Department.

Rutgers police is investigating the criminal sexual contact that occurred in Quad 2 on the Livingston Campus, located at 99 Road 3 in Piscataway, at approximately 7:40 a.m. today.

The victim told police a man entered the unsecured dorm room and made unwanted sexual contact with the resident while the resident was sleeping, according to a press release issued by the Rutgers police.

When the resident awoke the male immediately exited the room and fled from the area on foot.

The victim was not physically injured during the encounter, police said,

The man is described as being about 20-years-old, Hispanic or Indian Male, approximately 5-feet 7-inches tall with a thin build with black hair, wearing glasses, a pink shirt and blue jeans.

The Rutgers University Police Department is actively investigating this incident and asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the Rutgers Police Department Detective Bureau at 848-932-8025.
