NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Rutgers Police Department is investigating a report of a robbery and aggravated assault that allegedly took place at the Livingston A Apartments early this morning.

A Rutgers student told police that during a social gathering inside the residence at 55 Rockefeller Road in Piscataway at about 1:09 a.m., two males "grabbed a personal item" from him and physically assaulted him, according to a press release from Rutgers police.

No weapons were used in this incident and the males fled the Livingston Apartments in an unknown direction.

The student sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.

Police said the males are described as being between 19-21. One was wearing a white hoodie, an orange and black Nike backpack and had a mustache and goatee. The other male was wearing an American Eagl" hoodie.

The Rutgers Police Department asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the Rutgers Detective Bureau at 732-932-7211.
