The man told the homeowner he thought he had entered a friend’s home, but apparently got the wrong address. He hurried outside and peddled off toward Highland Park on a mountain bike that the homeowner told police she found in her driveway., according to police.

After the man left, the homeowner realized her bedroom had been ransacked, police said.

Police said Rodriguez-Bardales was in possession of jewelry allegedly taken from the home when he was taken into custody.
